The lighthouse was built on Robinson Point on Isle au Haut in 1907. The was one of the last lighthouses built in Maine. At the time, a 4th order lens was the original optic. The keeper's house has been sold to a private owner and is now operated as a bed & breakfast inn. They have maintained the flavor of the Light Station as it was in 1907 so there is no electricity or telephones in the house.
